Peace be with you. A blessed #LaudatoSiSunday, everyone!
Let’s join Bro. Kharl Jun Motin from the Diocese of Romblon, in his sharing.
John 14:15-21
“This Sunday, the readings talk about the love of God as a gift to His disciples. Through this gift, God reminds us of two things. First, love as a challenge – challenge to accept God’s love. Second, this love is a commitment. The Lord tells us that if we accept this love as a gift, we are assured that He will not abandon us.
In the Gospel, Jesus seems to say that “I will not be around anymore, but I give you the Holy Spirit.”
The Lord invites us to be gifts, gifts of life to others, for all of us to realize that there is God; and there is love in everything we do.”
Pope Francis’ encyclical “Laudato Si, On Care for Our Common Home, number 238, says: “The Spirit, infinite bond of love, is intimately present at the very heart of the universe, inspiring and bringing new pathways.”
“Lord, thank you for reminding and showing us an inspiration to let us know the salvation at hand. These gifts of love for all of us continuously flow in others, in ourselves, and in our environment. May You continue taking care of us; may we treasure the persons in our lives and the things that we do, to truly and honestly serve You.”
Amen.
